What is RUST?
RUST modern home began when we decided to be brave and turn a love of vintage decor, unique finds, and a passion for home design into a beautiful store in Bath, Ohio.
Our goal has always been to offer a thoughtfully curated selection of vintage pieces in a range of styles and price points, in the hopes that everyone who walks through our doors can find something special.
We also take pride in supporting small businesses and local artisans by carrying their handcrafted goods in our Marketplace. Every item—whether a gift, home decor piece, or specialty food product—is thoughtfully selected for its uniqueness and quality.
It has been truly incredible having the opportunity to experiment with design and getting to know all of our amazing customers.
Simply put, RUST is a dream come true.
Our family moved a lot in our early years, which taught me how to make each new house feel like home. I learned quickly that it’s not about having everything perfect—it’s about creating comfort, familiarity, and meaning. I love combining modern elements with vintage pieces to add depth and richness- but what matters most to me is filling a space with things that spark core memories.
After spending many years in California, my personal style leans minimalist, organic, and a bit Scandinavian. That said, I love breaking the “rules” and designing spaces that feel layered, lived-in, and personal—not stale or overly styled.
At the store, I love getting to play with a wide range of styles and helping others create spaces that feel like them. I strongly believe our homes should reflect who we are and be the place where we feel most at peace.
